While the share of Saudi Arabia (+23 p.p.) and the United Arab Emirates (+9.6 p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total exports from 2012-2021, the share of Turkey (-5.1 p.p.) and Bahrain (-25.9 p.p.) displayed negative dynamics. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, Turkey ($X) remains the largest glass fibre filament supplier in the Middle East, comprising 55% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Saudi Arabia ($X), with a 23% share of total exports. It was followed by the United Arab Emirates, with a 15% share.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value in Turkey amounted to -3.8%. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Saudi Arabia (+20.8% per year) and the United Arab Emirates (+37.4% per year).
