Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs in 2023 and are expected to retain growth in the immediate term.

Exports by Country
Guatemala was the main exporting country with an export of around X tons, which amounted to X% of total exports. Peru (X tons) held the second position in the ranking, followed by Nicaragua (X tons). All these countries together held approx. X% share of total exports. The following exporters - Mexico (X tons), Brazil (X tons), Colombia (X tons) and El Salvador (X tons) - together made up X% of total exports.
From 2012 to 2023, average annual rates of growth with regard to ink exports from Guatemala stood at X%. At the same time, Nicaragua (X%), Brazil (X%) and El Salvador (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Nicaragua emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in Latin America and the Caribbean, with a CAGR of X% from 2012-2023. Colombia and Peru experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. By contrast, Mexico (X%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. In value terms, ink imports declined modestly to $X in 2023. In general, imports, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2022 with an increase of X% against the previous year. The level of import peaked at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2023, imports failed to regain momentum.
Imports by Country
The countries with the highest levels of ink imports in 2023 were Mexico (X tons), the Dominican Republic (X tons), Brazil (X tons), Guatemala (X tons), Ecuador (X tons), Colombia (X tons), Costa Rica (X tons), Nicaragua (X tons) and Peru (X tons), together recording X% of total import.
