The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 when exports increased by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2023, the exports remained at a lower figure.
Exports by Country
Belarus was the largest exporter of agricultural harvesters in Eastern Europe, with the volume of exports finishing at X units, which was approx. X% of total exports in 2023. Poland (X units) ranks second in terms of the total exports with a X% share, followed by Russia (X%). Hungary (X units), Bulgaria (X units) and the Czech Republic (X units) held a little share of total exports.
From 2012 to 2023, average annual rates of growth with regard to agricultural harvester exports from Belarus stood at X%. At the same time, the Czech Republic (X%), Poland (X%), Bulgaria (X%) and Hungary (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2016 with an increase of X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure at X units in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2023, imports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, agricultural harvester imports amounted to $X in 2023. Total imports indicated a notable increase from 2012 to 2023: its value increased at an average annual rate of X% over the last eleven years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2023 figures, imports increased by X% against 2019 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 when imports increased by X%. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs in 2023 and are likely to see gradual growth in years to come.
Imports by Country
In 2023, Russia (X units) was the main importer of agricultural harvesters, comprising X% of total imports. Ukraine (X units) took the second position in the ranking, followed by Romania (X units), Poland (X units), Slovakia (X units) and Bulgaria (X units). All these countries together held near X% share of total imports. Hungary (X units) took a little share of total imports.

Romania (X p.p.), Ukraine (X p.p.), Poland (X p.p.), Slovakia (X p.p.), Hungary (X p.p.) and Bulgaria (X p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total imports, while Russia saw its share reduced by X% from 2012 to 2023, respectively.
In value terms, Russia ($X), Poland ($X) and Romania ($X) appeared to be the countries with the highest levels of imports in 2023, with a combined X% share of total imports. Bulgaria, Ukraine, Hungary and Slovakia lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further X%.
Hungary, with a CAGR of X%, saw the highest growth rate of the value of imports, among the main importing countries over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Import Prices by Country
The import price in Eastern Europe stood at $X per unit in 2023, with a decrease of X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, saw resilient growth. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2022 when the import price increased by X% against the previous year. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $X per unit, and then contracted markedly in the following year.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major importing countries. In 2023, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Bulgaria ($X per unit), while Russia ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
