Turkey Meat Price in Poland (FOB) - 2023
The average turkey meat export price stood at $3,579 per ton in July 2023, reducing by -9.5% against the previous month. In general, the export price recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in October 2022 when the average export price increased by 8.3% m-o-m. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the peak figure at $4,412 per ton in December 2022; however, from January 2023 to July 2023, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In July 2023, the country with the highest price was the UK ($4,686 per ton), while the average price for exports to Democratic Republic of the Congo ($1,853 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Democratic Republic of the Congo (+1.8%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Turkey Meat Price in Poland (CIF) - 2023
In June 2023, the average turkey meat import price amounted to $1,201 per ton, which is down by -12% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in March 2023 an increase of 20% m-o-m. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $1,364 per ton in December 2022; however, from January 2023 to June 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Italy ($1,900 per ton), while the price for Germany ($950 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Hungary (-0.1%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.
Turkey Meat Exports in Poland
In 2022, turkey meat exports from Poland totaled 205K tons, surging by 6.6% compared with the previous year's figure. Over the period under review, exports, however, continue to indicate a mild setback.
In value terms, turkey meat exports soared to $795M in 2022. In general, total exports indicated pronounced growth from 2019 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +4.8% over the last three years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports increased by +44.5% against 2020 indices. As a result, the exports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
