Spices; Mixtures Price in Bahrain (FOB) - 2022

The average spices; mixtures export price stood at $5,124 per ton in 2022, with a decrease of -3.4% against the previous year. In general, export price indicated a perceptible expansion from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +3.0% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, spices; mixtures export price decreased by -3.9% against 2020 indices. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 when the average export price increased by 60%. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $5,330 per ton. From 2021 to 2022, the average export prices failed to regain momentum.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Jordan ($6,768 per ton), while the average price for exports to Saudi Arabia ($3,600 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Jordan (+8.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
