In January 2022, the average import price for manganese oxides; excluding manganese dioxides amounted to $971 per ton, increasing by 4.5% against the previous month. Overall, the import price saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in April 2021 when the average import price increased by 23% m-o-m. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $1,096 per ton. From May 2021 to January 2022, the average import prices remained at a lower figure.
Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major supplying countries. In January 2022, the countries with the highest prices were Norway ($1,071 per ton) and South Korea ($1,030 per ton), while the price for Indonesia ($809 per ton) and Belgium ($856 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From January 2021 to January 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by India (+2.8%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

The export price peaked at $5,791 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Average prices varied noticeably for the major foreign markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Belarus ($1,791 per ton), while the average price for exports to Kazakhstan totaled $1,578 per ton.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Ukraine (+12.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.
