In July 2023, the average cereals; maize (corn), seed import price amounted to $1,826 per ton, declining by -26.2% against the previous month. Overall, the import price recorded a slight descent. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in October 2022 when the average import price increased by 146% month-to-month. The import price peaked at $6,115 per ton in March 2023; however, from April 2023 to July 2023, import prices failed to regain momentum.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was France ($5,321 per ton), while the price for Spain ($1,734 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Spain (+7.5%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.
