Poultry Price in Slovenia (FOB) - 2022
The average poultry export price stood at $3,380 per ton in 2022, picking up by 18% against the previous year. Over the last decade, it increased at an average annual rate of +2.8%. As a result, the export price reached the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Switzerland ($7,586 per ton), while the average price for exports to Spain ($2,373 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Kosovo (+11.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average poultry import price stood at $3,415 per ton in 2022, picking up by 16% against the previous year. Over the last decade, it increased at an average annual rate of +1.0%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 an increase of 24% against the previous year. The import price peaked at $3,421 per ton in 2014; afterwards, it flattened through to 2022.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Hungary ($5,059 per ton), while the price for Austria ($2,406 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Poland (+4.5%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Poultry Exports in Slovenia

Poultry Imports in Slovenia

In value terms, poultry imports surged to $68M in 2022. Overall, total imports indicated a resilient expansion from 2019 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +8.8% over the last three years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +58.8% against 2020 indices.
