Pimenta Pepper Price in Thailand (CIF) - 2023
In July 2023, the average pimenta pepper import price amounted to $3,123 per ton, surging by 17% against the previous month. Over the period from July 2022 to July 2023, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.5%. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in August 2022 an increase of 28% m-o-m. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $3,334 per ton. From September 2022 to July 2023, the average import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was India ($3,255 per ton), while the price for Myanmar ($1,877 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by China (+0.9%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Pimenta Pepper Price in Thailand (FOB) - 2023
In July 2023, the average pimenta pepper export price amounted to $1,567 per ton, with a decrease of -45.2% against the previous month. In general, the export price saw a mild downturn. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in June 2023 an increase of 98% m-o-m. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $2,859 per ton, and then shrank remarkably in the following month.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was the United States ($2,052 per ton), while the average price for exports to the Netherlands ($826 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Lao People's Democratic Republic (+9.2%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
