Mango and Mangosteen Price in Brazil (FOB) - 2023
The average mango and mangosteen export price stood at $1,019 per ton in September 2023, remaining constant against the previous month. Over the period from September 2022 to September 2023, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.5%. The growth pace was the most rapid in April 2023 an increase of 11% month-to-month. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the peak figure at $1,052 per ton in May 2023; however, from June 2023 to September 2023, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was South Korea ($3,903 per ton), while the average price for exports to the United States ($839 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From September 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Portugal (+2.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average mango and mangosteen import price stood at $5,893 per ton in 2022, growing by 80% against the previous year. In general, the import price showed a significant increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 when the average import price increased by 116%. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the peak figure in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in the near future.
