Glass Fibre Mat Price in Indonesia (CIF) - 2022
In March 2022, the average glass fibre mat import price amounted to $1,946 per ton, rising by 3.6% against the previous month. Over the last twelve months, it increased at an average monthly rate of +2.9%. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in April 2021 when the average import price increased by 21% m-o-m. The import price peaked at $1,974 per ton in January 2022; however, from February 2022 to March 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.
Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major supplying countries. In March 2022, the country with the highest price was Taiwan (Chinese) ($1,917 per ton), while the price for China amounted to $1,915 per ton.
From March 2021 to March 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Taiwan (Chinese) (+4.4%).
Glass Fibre Mat Price in Indonesia (FOB) - 2022
The average glass fibre mat export price stood at $6,096 per ton in March 2022, picking up by 46% against the previous month. Overall, the export price, however, recorded a mild setback. The growth pace was the most rapid in July 2021 when the average export price increased by 61% month-to-month. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the peak figure at $7,371 per ton in May 2021; however, from June 2021 to March 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Mexico ($14,851 per ton), while the average price for exports to Vietnam ($2,389 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From March 2021 to March 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Madagascar (+3.9%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.
Glass Fibre Mat Imports in Indonesia
In 2022, purchases abroad of glass fibre mats decreased by -65.7% to 3.2K tons, falling for the second consecutive year after two years of growth. Overall, imports recorded a significant decrease. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 with an increase of 4.6% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of 10K tons. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, glass fibre mat imports declined sharply to $6.2M in 2022. Over the period under review, imports recorded a significant decline. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 41%. As a result, imports reached the peak of $15M, and then shrank notably in the following year.

Glass Fibre Mat Exports in Indonesia
In 2022, exports of glass fibre mats from Indonesia dropped remarkably to 165 tons, which is down by -64.3% against 2021 figures. In general, exports saw a sharp descent. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when exports increased by 7.9%.
In value terms, glass fibre mat exports reduced rapidly to $809K in 2022. Over the period under review, exports showed a sharp decline. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 when exports increased by 14%.
