Price for Nickel; Wire, of Nickel Alloys in India (CIF) - 2023

In July 2023, the average import price for nickel; wire, of nickel alloyses amounted to $41,651 per ton, waning by -10.4% against the previous month. Overall, the import price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in February 2023 when the average import price increased by 93% m-o-m. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the maximum at $46,508 per ton in June 2023, and then reduced in the following month.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In July 2023, the country with the highest price was the United States ($56,270 per ton), while the price for the United Arab Emirates ($18,742 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Bulgaria (+60.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the average export price for nickel; wire, of nickel alloyses amounted to $21,089 per ton, therefore, remained relatively stable against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 an increase of 12% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $22,896 per ton in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Indonesia ($28,345 per ton), while the average price for exports to the United Arab Emirates ($12,000 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the UK (+1.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
