Frozen Poultry Liver Price in South Korea (CIF) - 2022
The average frozen poultry liver import price stood at $2,584 per ton in December 2022, shrinking by -4.1% against the previous month. Over the last twelve-month period, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.9%. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in August 2022 when the average import price increased by 9.1% m-o-m. The import price peaked at $2,765 per ton in September 2022; however, from October 2022 to December 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In December 2022, the country with the highest price was Thailand ($3,526 per ton), while the price for Sweden ($1,716 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From December 2021 to December 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the United States (+3.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average frozen poultry liver export price stood at $1,035 per ton in December 2022, shrinking by -11.7% against the previous month. Overall, the export price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in September 2022 when the average export price increased by 17% month-to-month. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $1,177 per ton. From October 2022 to December 2022, the the average export prices remained at a lower figure.
As there is only one major export destination, the average price level is determined by prices for Vietnam.
From December 2021 to December 2022, the rate of growth in terms of prices for Vietnam amounted to -0.2% per month.
Frozen Poultry Liver Imports in South Korea
In 2022, imports of frozen poultry livers and offal into South Korea skyrocketed to 182K tons, rising by 22% compared with the year before. The total import volume increased at an average annual rate of +8.4% over the period from 2019 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. As a result, imports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
