Citrus Fruit Price in Austria (CIF) - 2022
The average citrus fruit import price stood at $1,291 per ton in 2022, declining by -5.2% against the previous year. Over the last decade, it increased at an average annual rate of +2.1%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when the average import price increased by 15% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the peak figure at $1,361 per ton in 2021, and then contracted in the following year.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was South Africa ($7,393 per ton), while the price for Greece ($872 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by South Africa (+19.5%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
