Amplifier Market Size in SADC

For the third consecutive year, the SADC amplifier market recorded growth in sales value, which increased by X% to $X in 2023. In general, consumption, however, saw a drastic downturn. Over the period under review, exports, however, showed a abrupt contraction. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 with an increase of X%. The volume of export peaked at X units in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2023, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, amplifier exports reduced to $X in 2023. In general, exports, however, saw a perceptible shrinkage. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 with an increase of X% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $X. From 2014 to 2023, the growth of the exports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

Exports by Country

South Africa dominates exports structure, amounting to X units, which was near X% of total exports in 2023. Botswana (X units) and Tanzania (X units) took a relatively small share of total exports.

Exports from South Africa decreased at an average annual rate of X% from 2012 to 2023. At the same time, Tanzania (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Tanzania emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in SADC, with a CAGR of X% from 2012-2023. Botswana experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. While the share of South Africa (X p.p.) and Tanzania (X p.p.) increased significantly, the shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, South Africa ($X) remains the largest amplifier supplier in SADC, comprising X% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Tanzania ($X), with a X% share of total exports.

From 2012 to 2023, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value in South Africa amounted to X%. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Tanzania (X% per year) and Botswana (X% per year).

Export Prices by Country

The export price in SADC stood at $X per unit in 2023, waning by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 when the export price increased by X% against the previous year. The level of export peaked at $X per unit in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2023, the export prices failed to regain momentum.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Tanzania ($X per unit), while Botswana ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

Moreover, Zimbabwe emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in SADC, with a CAGR of X% from 2012-2023. By contrast, Tanzania (X%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. From 2012 to 2023, the share of South Africa increased by X percentage points. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
