Paddy Rice Market Size in the Middle East

In 2023, the Middle Eastern paddy rice market was finally on the rise to reach $X after three years of decline. Overall, consumption recorded a perceptible setback. The level of consumption peaked at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2023, consumption remained at a lower figure.

The United Arab Emirates was the main exporting country with an export of around X tons, which accounted for X% of total exports. Saudi Arabia (X tons) ranks second in terms of the total exports with a X% share, followed by Turkey (X%) and Oman (X%). Kuwait (X tons) followed a long way behind the leaders.

The United Arab Emirates experienced a relatively flat trend pattern with regard to volume of exports of paddy rice. At the same time, Kuwait (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Kuwait emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in the Middle East, with a CAGR of X% from 2012-2023. Saudi Arabia experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. By contrast, Turkey (X%) and Oman (X%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. As a result, imports reached the peak of X tons. From 2015 to 2023, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.
