Bracelet Exports

Exports in Latin America and the Caribbean

In 2022, approx. X units of watch straps, bands and bracelets were exported in Latin America and the Caribbean; shrinking by X% against the previous year. In general, exports, however, showed a mild expansion. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2016 with an increase of X%. The volume of export peaked at X units in 2021, and then dropped remarkably in the following year.

In value terms, bracelet exports fell markedly to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, exports showed a noticeable setback. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 with an increase of X%. As a result, the exports attained the peak of $X. From 2020 to 2022, the growth of the exports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

Exports by Country

In 2022, Panama (X units) represented the key exporter of watch straps, bands and bracelets, creating X% of total exports. Ecuador (X units) ranks second in terms of the total exports with a X% share, followed by Peru (X%) and Brazil (X%). Guatemala (X units) and Belize (X units) held a minor share of total exports.

From 2012 to 2022, average annual rates of growth with regard to bracelet exports from Panama stood at X%. At the same time, Ecuador (X%), Guatemala (X%), Belize (X%), Peru (X%) and Brazil (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. The export price in Latin America and the Caribbean stood at $X per unit in 2022, rising by X% against the previous year. Overall, the export price, however, saw a perceptible slump. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2013 an increase of X%. The level of export peaked at $X per unit in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Belize ($X per unit), while Ecuador (less than $X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Guatemala (X%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Bracelet Imports

Imports in Latin America and the Caribbean

In 2022, imports of watch straps, bands and bracelets in Latin America and the Caribbean dropped to X units, reducing by X% against 2021. Overall, imports showed a slight setback. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when imports increased by X% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of X units, and then reduced in the following year.

In value terms, bracelet imports expanded significantly to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports continue to indicate a noticeable reduction. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 when imports increased by X% against the previous year.
