In value terms, stainless steel angle exports soared to $X in 2023. In general, exports, however, recorded a abrupt decrease. The level of export peaked at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2023, the exports failed to regain momentum.

Exports by Country

Costa Rica represented the main exporting country with an export of about X tons, which finished at X% of total exports. It was distantly followed by Chile (X tons) and Guatemala (X tons), together comprising a X% share of total exports. Mexico (X tons), the Dominican Republic (X tons), Trinidad and Tobago (X tons) and Suriname (X tons) held a minor share of total exports.

Exports from Costa Rica increased at an average annual rate of X% from 2012 to 2023. At the same time, Guatemala (X%), Suriname (X%) and Chile (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Guatemala emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in Latin America and the Caribbean, with a CAGR of X% from 2012-2023. Trinidad and Tobago experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. By contrast, the Dominican Republic (X%) and Mexico (X%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. While the share of Costa Rica (X p.p.), Chile (X p.p.), Guatemala (X p.p.) and Suriname (X p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total exports from 2012-2023, the share of the Dominican Republic (X p.p.) and Mexico (X p.p.) displayed negative dynamics. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, Costa Rica ($X) remains the largest stainless steel angle supplier in Latin America and the Caribbean, comprising X% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Chile ($X), with a X% share of total exports. It was followed by Mexico, with an X% share.

In general, the export price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 when the export price increased by X%. There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2023, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Mexico ($X per ton), while the Dominican Republic ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

Total imports indicated a moderate increase from 2012 to 2023: its volume increased at an average annual rate of X% over the last eleven-year period.
