Exports in the EU

In 2022, approx. X units of truck cranes were exported in the European Union; standing approx. at the previous year. Over the period under review, exports recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when exports increased by X%. The volume of export peaked at X units in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, truck crane exports rose sharply to $X in 2022. In general, exports continue to indicate a mild reduction. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of X%. The level of export peaked at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.

Exports by Country

Germany was the largest exporting country with an export of about X units, which resulted at X% of total exports. It was distantly followed by the Netherlands (X units), making up a X% share of total exports. The following exporters - Belgium (X units), France (X units) and Poland (X units) - together made up X% of total exports.

Germany experienced a relatively flat trend pattern with regard to volume of exports of truck cranes. At the same time, Poland (X%), France (X%) and the Netherlands (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Poland emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in the European Union, with a CAGR of X% from 2012-2022. Belgium experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. The Netherlands (X p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total exports, while the shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

Total imports indicated a resilient increase from 2012 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of X% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by X% against 2020 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 with an increase of X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in the immediate term.

In value terms, truck crane imports soared to $X in 2022. Total imports indicated a buoyant increase from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of X% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by X% against 2020 indices. As a result, imports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Imports by Country

The Netherlands was the largest importer of truck cranes in the European Union, with the volume of imports accounting for X units, which was near X% of total imports in 2022. It was distantly followed by Germany (X units), France (X units), Italy (X units) and Poland (X units), together achieving a X% share of total imports. The following importers - Spain (X units), Sweden (X units), Ireland (X units), Greece (X units), Belgium (X units), Austria (X units), Hungary (X units) and Romania (X units) - together made up X% of total imports.

Imports into the Netherlands increased at an average annual rate of X% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, Hungary (X%), Greece (X%), Ireland (X%), Austria (X%), Poland (X%), Italy (X%), Spain (X%), Romania (X%), France (X%), Sweden (X%) and Germany (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Hungary emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in the European Union, with a CAGR of X% from 2012-2022. By contrast, Belgium (X%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. While the share of Greece (X p.p.), Ireland (X p.p.), Poland (X p.p.), Italy (X p.p.) and Hungary (X p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total imports from 2012-2022, the share of Germany (X p.p.) and Belgium (X p.p.) displayed negative dynamics. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
