Exports by Country

The Netherlands was the major exporting country with an export of around X tons, which finished at X% of total exports. Belgium (X tons) held a X% share (based on physical terms) of total exports, which put it in second place, followed by Hungary (X%), Austria (X%) and France (X%). The following exporters - the Czech Republic (X tons) and Germany (X tons) - each reached a X% share of total exports.

Exports from the Netherlands increased at an average annual rate of X% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, Belgium (X%), Hungary (X%), Austria (X%) and France (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Belgium emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in the European Union, with a CAGR of X% from 2012-2022. By contrast, the Czech Republic (X%) and Germany (X%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. From 2012 to 2022, the share of Belgium and Hungary increased by X and X percentage points, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 with an increase of X%. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in the immediate term.

It was distantly followed by Denmark (X tons), the Netherlands (X tons), France (X tons), Italy (X tons), Austria (X tons), Portugal (X tons) and Romania (X tons), together mixing up a X% share of total imports. The following importers - Sweden (X tons) and Latvia (X tons) - each finished at a X% share of total imports.

The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 when the import price increased by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, import prices hit record highs at $X per ton in 2021, and then shrank in the following year.
