The following exporters - Ukraine (X cubic meters) and the Czech Republic (X cubic meters) - each finished at a X% share of total exports.

Exports from Russia increased at an average annual rate of X% from 2012 to 2023. At the same time, Estonia (X%), Poland (X%), Belarus (X%) and Latvia (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Estonia emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in Eastern Europe, with a CAGR of X% from 2012-2023. By contrast, Ukraine (X%) and the Czech Republic (X%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. From 2012 to 2023, the share of Poland, Estonia and Belarus increased by X, X and X percentage points, respectively. Imports in Eastern Europe

For the fourth consecutive year, Eastern Europe recorded growth in purchases abroad of plywood, which increased by X% to X cubic meters in 2023. In general, imports saw a prominent expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 with an increase of X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs in 2023 and are expected to retain growth in the near future.

In value terms, plywood imports fell remarkably to $X in 2023. Overall, imports continue to indicate temperate growth. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 when imports increased by X%. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at $X in 2022, and then declined notably in the following year.

Imports by Country

In 2023, Poland (X cubic meters) was the key importer of plywood, creating X% of total imports. Bulgaria (X cubic meters) ranks second in terms of the total imports with a X% share, followed by the Czech Republic (X%) and Hungary (X%). Romania (X cubic meters), Lithuania (X cubic meters), Slovakia (X cubic meters), Estonia (X cubic meters), Latvia (X cubic meters), Belarus (X cubic meters) and Russia (X cubic meters) followed a long way behind the leaders.
