In 2023, the East European cork article market decreased by X% to $X, falling for the second year in a row after two years of growth. Over the period under review, consumption, however, continues to indicate mild growth. As a result, consumption reached the peak level of $X. Hungary (X tons) followed a long way behind the leaders.

Poland experienced a relatively flat trend pattern with regard to volume of exports of cork articles. At the same time, Bulgaria (X%), Ukraine (X%), Russia (X%), Lithuania (X%) and Hungary (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Bulgaria emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in Eastern Europe, with a CAGR of X% from 2012-2023. By contrast, the Czech Republic (X%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period.
