Fruit Market Size in CIS

After two years of growth, the CIS fruit market decreased by X% to $X in 2022. Overall, consumption, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The yield figure increased at an average annual rate of X% over the period from 2012 to 2022; the trend pattern remained relatively stable, with somewhat noticeable fluctuations being observed in certain years. Exports in CIS

In 2022, approx. X tons of fruits were exported in the CIS; falling by X% on 2021 figures. Total exports indicated a resilient increase from 2012 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of X% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports increased by X% against 2020 indices. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 when exports increased by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs at X tons in 2021, and then fell modestly in the following year.

In value terms, fruit exports rose slightly to $X in 2022. Overall, exports, however, recorded a strong increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 with an increase of X% against the previous year. The level of export peaked in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in the immediate term.

Uzbekistan represented the largest exporter of fruits in the CIS, with the volume of exports accounting for X tons, which was approx. X% of total exports in 2022. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 when imports increased by X%. Russia dominates imports structure, resulting at X tons, which was near X% of total imports in 2022. It was distantly followed by Kazakhstan (X tons), creating an X% share of total imports.
