Uzbekistan was the key importer of rice in Central Asia, with the volume of imports resulting at X tons, which was near X% of total imports in 2023. Mongolia (X tons) took a X% share (based on physical terms) of total imports, which put it in second place, followed by Tajikistan (X%) and Kyrgyzstan (X%). Kazakhstan (X tons) took a minor share of total imports.

Uzbekistan was also the fastest-growing in terms of the rice imports, with a CAGR of X% from 2012 to 2023. At the same time, Mongolia (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Kyrgyzstan ($X per ton), while Uzbekistan ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
