Sugar Beet Price in Turkey (FOB) - 2022
The average sugar beet export price stood at $5,824 per ton in 2022, increasing by 125% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price saw a resilient increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 an increase of 442%. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $5,983 per ton. From 2018 to 2022, the average export prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Saudi Arabia ($26,286 per ton), while the average price for exports to Iran ($697 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
