Sausage Price in Belarus (FOB) - 2022
The average sausage export price stood at $2,507 per ton in March 2022, with a decrease of -21.8% against the previous month. Overall, the export price showed a slight shrinkage. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in May 2021 when the average export price increased by 6.3% m-o-m. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the peak figure at $3,490 per ton in December 2021; however, from January 2022 to March 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Average prices varied noticeably for the major overseas markets. In March 2022, the country with the highest price was Kazakhstan ($2,766 per ton), while the average price for exports to Russia amounted to $2,436 per ton.
From March 2021 to March 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Russia (-1.0%).
Sausage Price in Belarus (CIF) - 2022
In March 2022, the average sausage import price amounted to $4,515 per ton, shrinking by -24.8% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price continues to indicate a perceptible slump. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in December 2021 an increase of 36% month-to-month. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $8,074 per ton. From January 2022 to March 2022, the average import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
As there is only one major supplying country, the average price level is determined by prices for Russia.
From March 2021 to March 2022, the rate of growth in terms of prices for Italy amounted to -1.0% per month.
Sausage Exports in Belarus
For the fourth year in a row, Belarus recorded growth in overseas shipments of sausages and similar products of meat, which increased by 15% to 48K tons in 2022. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports increased by +82.2% against 2019 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 when exports increased by 38% against the previous year. The exports peaked in 2022 and are likely to see steady growth in the near future.
