In June 2023, the average quartzite import price amounted to $326 per ton, which is down by -40.6% against the previous month. Overall, the import price, however, enjoyed a modest expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in May 2023 when the average import price increased by 95% m-o-m. The import price peaked at $637 per ton in September 2022; however, from October 2022 to June 2023, import prices failed to regain momentum.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Norway ($1,337 per ton), while the price for Germany ($165 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Norway (+12.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
