For the third year in a row, Qatar recorded decline in production of citrus fruits not elsewhere classified, which decreased by 0% to 103 tons in 2022. Overall, production recorded a sharp descent. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2019 when the production volume increased by 168% against the previous year. Over the period under review, production attained the maximum volume at 522 tons in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2022, production remained at a lower figure. Citrus fruits not elsewhere classified output in Qatar indicated a dramatic shrinkage, which was largely conditioned by a sharp reduction of the harvested area and a precipitous descent in yield figures.
In value terms, citrus fruits not elsewhere classified production amounted to $119K in 2022 estimated in export price. Over the period under review, production showed a dramatic setback. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2019 when the production volume increased by 178%.
