Price for Winding Wire of Copper in China (FOB) - 2023
In June 2023, the average winding wire of copper export price amounted to $10,817 per ton, picking up by 4.3% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in February 2023 an increase of 9.8% month-to-month. The export price peaked at $11,884 per ton in June 2022; however, from July 2022 to June 2023, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In June 2023, the country with the highest price was the United States ($13,871 per ton), while the average price for exports to the United Arab Emirates ($4,021 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the United Arab Emirates (+5.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.

In June 2023, the average winding wire of copper import price amounted to $19,265 per ton, remaining constant against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in August 2022 an increase of 8.3% month-to-month. The import price peaked at $19,440 per ton in May 2023, and then reduced in the following month.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was the United States ($40,519 per ton), while the price for South Korea ($8,716 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Germany (+4.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
