The average export price for tomatoes; prepared or preserved otherwise than by vinegar or acetic acid stood at $1,817 per ton in January 2024, with a decrease of -3.5% against the previous month. Overall, the export price showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in November 2023 an increase of 4% m-o-m. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $1,899 per ton. From December 2023 to January 2024, the the average export prices failed to regain momentum.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Venezuela ($2,058 per ton), while the average price for exports to the United States ($1,241 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
