The average export price for tobacco; partly or wholly stemmed or stripped stood at $12,738 per ton in November 2023, with an increase of 46% against the previous month. Over the last eleven months, it increased at an average monthly rate of +3.1%. As a result, the export price attained the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was the Dominican Republic ($14,470 per ton), while the average price for exports to Canada ($5,685 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From December 2022 to November 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Lebanon (+2.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

The import price peaked at $7,486 per ton in June 2023; however, from July 2023 to November 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.
