In March 2023, the average export price for spices; vanilla, crushed or ground amounted to $2,677 per ton, with an increase of 44% against the previous month. Overall, export price indicated a tangible increase from July 2022 to March 2023: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +4.5% over the last eight months. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on March 2023 figures, spices; vanilla, crushed or ground export price increased by +50.8% against December 2022 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in November 2022 an increase of 44% against the previous month. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $3,015 per ton. From December 2022 to March 2023, the the average export prices remained at a lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was the UK ($3,047 per ton), while the average price for exports to Uzbekistan ($2,000 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From July 2022 to March 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Syrian Arab Republic (+5.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.
