Price for Non-Refractory Clay Constructional Products in Angola (CIF) - 2022

The average non-refractory clay constructional products import price stood at $747 per ton in 2022, jumping by 19% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price showed prominent growth. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 an increase of 59% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs in 2022 and is likely to continue growth in the near future.

In 2022, the average non-refractory clay constructional products export price amounted to $440 per ton, jumping by 61% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, saw a pronounced decline. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2015 when the average export price increased by 127%. The export price peaked at $2,491 per ton in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.

As there is only one major export destination, the average price level is determined by prices for Democratic Republic of the Congo.

From 2012 to 2022, the rate of growth in terms of prices for Namibia amounted to +51.9% per year.

Imports of Non-Refractory Clay Constructional Products in Angola

In 2022, after three years of growth, there was significant decline in supplies from abroad of non-refractory clay constructional products, when their volume decreased by -44.1% to 254 tons. Overall, imports, however, recorded a prominent increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when imports increased by 90% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of 454 tons, and then declined rapidly in the following year.

In value terms, non-refractory clay constructional products imports contracted significantly to $190K in 2022. In general, imports, however, posted a significant increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 when imports increased by 201% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of $285K, and then contracted sharply in the following year.
