The average import price for nickel; tubes and pipes, not alloyeds stood at $71,614 per ton in 2022, with a decrease of -15.2% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, continues to indicate a remarkable increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 when the average import price increased by 135%. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the peak figure at $84,427 per ton in 2021, and then shrank significantly in the following year.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($232,600 per ton), while the price for China ($29,346 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
