The average natural rubber and gum import price stood at $4,588 per ton in 2022, jumping by 102% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, continues to indicate a perceptible contraction. The import price peaked at $6,492 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.

Average prices varied somewhat for the major foreign markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was the Czech Republic ($10,267 per ton), while the average price for exports to Austria stood at $8,023 per ton.
From 2013 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Austria (+2.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.
Imports of Natural Rubber and Gum in Slovakia
Natural rubber and gum imports into Slovakia surged to 127 tons in 2022, with an increase of 90% on 2021. Over the period under review, imports enjoyed a significant increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 when imports increased by 170% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of 131 tons. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.
