The average import price for mushrooms and truffles, other than of the genus "agaricus" stood at $5,738 per ton in October 2023, shrinking by -6.8% against the previous month. In general, the import price, however, recorded a measured increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in May 2023 an increase of 94% month-to-month. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the peak figure at $6,463 per ton in June 2023; however, from July 2023 to October 2023, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Austria ($15,664 per ton), while the price for the Netherlands ($2,195 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From October 2022 to October 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Croatia (+4.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
