In 2022, the average fruit, edible; durians, fresh import price amounted to $27,069 per ton, declining by -5.7% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, enjoyed a strong expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2015 an increase of 63% against the previous year. The import price peaked at $29,741 per ton in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Thailand ($28,600 per ton), while the price for the Netherlands ($16,234 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
