In November 2023, the average import price for frozen raspberries, blackberries, mulberries, loganberries, black-, white- or red currants and gooseberrieses amounted to $3,117 per ton, waning by -29.9% against the previous month. In general, the import price continues to indicate a pronounced slump. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in October 2023 an increase of 80% against the previous month. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the maximum at $6,259 per ton in January 2023; however, from February 2023 to November 2023, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In November 2023, the country with the highest price was the United States ($6,065 per ton), while the price for China ($2,154 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From November 2022 to November 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Spain (+3.5%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, after three years of growth, there was significant decline in purchases abroad of frozen raspberries, blackberries, mulberries, loganberries, black-, white- or red currants and gooseberrieses, when their volume decreased by -7.9% to 296 tons. Over the period under review, total imports indicated resilient growth from 2019 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +12.9% over the last three years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +43.9% against 2019 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 when imports increased by 35% against the previous year.
In value terms, imports of frozen raspberries, blackberries, mulberries, loganberries, black-, white- or red currants and gooseberrieses dropped to $1.1M in 2022. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +9.0% over the period from 2019 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 with an increase of 31%.
