In 2022, the average import price for fluorides; fluorosilicates, fluoroaluminates and other complex fluorine saltses amounted to $1,621 per ton, jumping by 27% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price enjoyed prominent growth. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2018 when the average import price increased by 81% against the previous year. The import price peaked at $2,757 per ton in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Thailand ($4,449 per ton), while the price for China totaled $1,017 per ton.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Thailand (+37.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
