Price for Cereals; Oats, Other than Seed in Lithuania (FOB) - 2023

In August 2023, the average export price for cereals; oats, other than seeds amounted to $290 per ton, with an increase of 2.7% against the previous month. In general, the export price, however, recorded a perceptible downturn. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in July 2023 an increase of 4.1% month-to-month. The export price peaked at $386 per ton in December 2022; however, from January 2023 to August 2023, the export prices failed to regain momentum.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Germany ($360 per ton), while the average price for exports to Poland ($203 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From December 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Denmark (0.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.

The average import price for cereals; oats, other than seeds stood at $308 per ton in 2022, rising by 18% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, saw a mild descent. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 an increase of 36% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the maximum at $373 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.
