In December 2023, the average import price for cereal flours; other than of wheat or meslin amounted to $1,050 per ton, rising by 6.5% against the previous month. In general, the import price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in January 2023 an increase of 7.5% month-to-month. The import price peaked at $1,100 per ton in April 2023; afterwards, it flattened through to December 2023.
As there is only one major supplying country, the average price level is determined by prices for Thailand.
From December 2022 to December 2023, the rate of growth in terms of prices for Mexico amounted to +1.0% per month.

The average export price for cereal flours; other than of wheat or meslin stood at $1,275 per ton in December 2023, declining by -5% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in June 2023 an increase of 9.7% m-o-m. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the peak figure at $1,469 per ton in March 2023; however, from April 2023 to December 2023, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was the United States ($1,712 per ton), while the average price for exports to South Korea ($961 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From December 2022 to December 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Japan (+0.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.
