The average export price for cabbages, cauliflowers, kohlrabi, kale and similar edible brassicas; fresh or chilleds stood at $754 per ton in 2022, rising by 12% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, showed a slight decline. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when the average export price increased by 39% against the previous year. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $975 per ton. From 2021 to 2022, the average export prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($4,427 per ton), while the average price for exports to Fiji ($90 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Germany (+10.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.

In 2022, the average import price for cabbages, cauliflowers, kohlrabi, kale and similar edible brassicas; fresh or chilleds amounted to $905 per ton, growing by 1.6% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, saw a perceptible slump. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 when the average import price increased by 46% against the previous year. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $2,189 per ton. From 2014 to 2022, the average import prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was China ($4,127 per ton), while the price for Costa Rica ($351 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the Dominican Republic (+15.8%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Exports of Cabbages, Cauliflowers, Kohlrabi, Kale and Similar Edible Brassicas; Fresh or Chilled in Colombia
In 2022, after three years of growth, there was significant decline in overseas shipments of cabbages, cauliflowers, kohlrabi, kale and similar edible brassicas; fresh or chilleds, when their volume decreased by -12.4% to 27 tons. Overall, exports, however, saw a significant expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when exports increased by 50% against the previous year. As a result, the exports attained the peak of 31 tons, and then fell in the following year.
In value terms, exports of cabbages, cauliflowers, kohlrabi, kale and similar edible brassicas; fresh or chilleds contracted modestly to $20K in 2022. Over the period under review, total exports indicated a significant increase from 2019 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +23.8% over the last three years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports increased by +89.5% against 2019 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 with an increase of 86% against the previous year.

As a result, imports attained the peak of 10 tons, and then shrank dramatically in the following year.
