The average brass tubes and pipes import price stood at $7,417 per ton in August 2023, dropping by -13% against the previous month. Overall, the import price, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in June 2023 an increase of 76% against the previous month. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $9,442 per ton. From July 2023 to August 2023, the average import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In August 2023, the country with the highest price was China ($16,357 per ton), while the price for Italy ($5,006 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Germany (+1.8%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.
