The average import price for articles of apparel and clothing accessories, of leather or of composition leather stood at $16.2 per unit in November 2023, declining by -2.7% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in June 2023 an increase of 73% month-to-month. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $24.1 per unit. From July 2023 to November 2023, the average import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Slovakia ($41.1 per unit), while the price for China ($5.2 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From November 2022 to November 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Slovakia (+9.5%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average export price for articles of apparel and clothing accessories, of leather or of composition leather stood at $34.8 per unit in November 2023, picking up by 9.2% against the previous month. Overall, export price indicated a notable increase from November 2022 to November 2023: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +2.8% over the last twelve-month period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on November 2023 figures, export price for articles of apparel and clothing accessories, of leather or of composition leather increased by +56.7% against May 2023 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in August 2023 when the average export price increased by 27% against the previous month. The export price peaked in November 2023.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In November 2023, the country with the highest price was France ($94.0 per unit), while the average price for exports to Greece ($5.3 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From November 2022 to November 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the Netherlands (+16.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the amount of articles of apparel and clothing accessories, of leather or of composition leather imported into the Czech Republic skyrocketed to 6.1M units, jumping by 23% on 2021 figures. Over the period under review, imports, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern.
