Price for Aluminium; Powders and Flakes in Turkey (CIF) - 2023
The average aluminium; powders and flakes import price stood at $7,022 per ton in July 2023, growing by 13% against the previous month. Over the period from July 2022 to July 2023, it increased at an average monthly rate of +2.7%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in January 2023 an increase of 35% month-to-month. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the peak figure at $8,169 per ton in February 2023; however, from March 2023 to July 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In July 2023, the country with the highest price was Germany ($8,545 per ton), while the price for India ($4,233 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Germany (+4.0%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In July 2023, the average aluminium; powders and flakes export price amounted to $4,052 per ton, growing by 4.6% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price, however, continues to indicate a noticeable slump. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in June 2023 when the average export price increased by 28% against the previous month. The export price peaked at $5,661 per ton in July 2022; however, from August 2022 to July 2023, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Average prices varied noticeably for the major foreign markets. In July 2023, the country with the highest price was Georgia ($4,735 per ton), while the average price for exports to Germany stood at $4,013 per ton.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Spain (+0.9%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.
Imports of Aluminium; Powders and Flakes in Turkey
In 2022, approx. 2.8K tons of aluminium; powders and flakeses were imported into Turkey; with a decrease of -38.3% on 2021. In general, imports, however, saw resilient growth. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 104% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of 4.5K tons, and then dropped remarkably in the following year.
In value terms, aluminium; powders and flakes imports contracted rapidly to $16M in 2022. Overall, imports, however, continue to indicate a resilient increase.
