The average import price for alcohols; aromatic alcohols and derivatives, benzyl alcohol stood at $9,799 per ton in 2022, declining by -25.9% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, recorded resilient growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 when the average import price increased by 69%. The import price peaked at $13,226 per ton in 2021, and then fell sharply in the following year.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by France (+13.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
