Oil Crops Price in Kenya (FOB) - 2022
The average oil crops export price stood at $2,022 per ton in 2022, growing by 30% against the previous year. Overall, the export price saw a prominent increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 an increase of 160%. The export price peaked in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in the immediate term.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($3,437 per ton), while the average price for exports to Yemen ($1,009 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Tanzania (+30.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average oil crops import price stood at $1,085 per ton in 2022, surging by 146% against the previous year. Overall, the import price saw a measured increase. As a result, import price reached the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was India ($6,086 per ton), while the price for Zambia ($433 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by India (+16.2%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.
Oil Crops Exports in Kenya
In 2022, overseas shipments of oil crops (primary) decreased by -17.9% to 2.7K tons, falling for the second consecutive year after two years of growth.
