Non-Liquid Margarine Price in Turkey (FOB) - 2023

In July 2023, the average non-liquid margarine export price amounted to $1,332 per ton, approximately reflecting the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price continues to indicate a slight reduction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in June 2023 when the average export price increased by 7.7% month-to-month. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the peak figure at $1,668 per ton in July 2022; however, from August 2022 to July 2023, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In July 2023, the country with the highest price was Saudi Arabia ($1,881 per ton), while the average price for exports to Madagascar ($988 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Uzbekistan (+4.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.

Non-Liquid Margarine Price in Turkey (CIF) - 2022

In 2022, the average non-liquid margarine import price amounted to $2,126 per ton, surging by 34% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, saw a mild setback. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the peak figure at $2,395 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Belgium ($2,888 per ton), while the price for Greece ($1,364 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Ukraine (+5.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

Non-Liquid Margarine Exports in Turkey

In 2022, approx. 36K tons of non-liquid margarine were exported from Turkey; waning by -2.9% against the year before. Overall, exports showed a slight decline. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 4.9%.
