Moreover, Taiwan (Chinese) emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in the world, with a CAGR of +18.0% from 2012-2022. By contrast, Germany (-4.1%), Japan (-6.2%), the United States (-8.8%) and Mexico (-12.1%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. While the share of China (+13 p.p.) and Taiwan (Chinese) (+1.5 p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the global exports from 2012-2022, the share of Japan (-1.8 p.p.), Germany (-2.7 p.p.), the United States (-4.2 p.p.) and Mexico (-7.9 p.p.) displayed negative dynamics. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, the largest non-electric motor handtools supplying countries worldwide were China ($760M), Germany ($411M) and the United States ($132M), together comprising 58% of global exports. Japan, the UK, Mexico and Taiwan (Chinese) lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 9.7%.
Taiwan (Chinese), with a CAGR of +6.3%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of exports, in terms of the main exporting countries over the period under review, while shipments for the other global leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
