China Mixtures Containing Halogenated Derivatives Of Methane, Ethane Or Propane Export Price in December 2021
In December 2021, the mixtures containing halogenated derivatives of methane, ethane or propane price amounted to $6,025 per ton (FOB, China), which is down by -5.3% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price, however, continues to indicate a prominent increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in October 2021 when the average export price increased by 32% m-o-m. The export price peaked at $6,363 per ton in November 2021, and then reduced in the following month.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was South Africa ($8,550 per ton), while the average price for exports to the United Arab Emirates ($4,744 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From January 2021 to December 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Brazil (+10.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In general, exports saw a pronounced expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in October 2021 with an increase of 95% month-to-month. As a result, the exports reached the peak of 22K tons. From November 2021 to December 2021, the growth of the exports of failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, exports of mixtures containing halogenated derivatives of methane, ethane or propane stood at $96M (IndexBox estimates) in December 2021. Overall, exports showed a strong increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in October 2021 with an increase of 157% against the previous month. As a result, the exports attained the peak of $113M. From November 2021 to December 2021, the growth of the exports of failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, Mexico ($19M) emerged as the key foreign market for mixtures containing halogenated derivatives of methane, ethane or propane exports from China, comprising 19% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Brazil ($7.7M), with an 8% share of total exports. It was followed by South Korea, with an 8% share.
From January 2021 to December 2021, the average monthly growth rate of value to Mexico amounted to +19.1%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average monthly rates of exports growth: Brazil (+16.8% per month) and South Korea (+3.3% per month).
